Introduction

Tech enthusiasts on the lookout for a reliable backup battery will appreciate the Amazon Basics 20,000mAh power bank, now available at a steep discount. This high-capacity charger is designed to keep devices powered during extended trips, commutes, or unexpected outages.

What Happened

Woot recently slashed the price of the Amazon Basics 20,000mAh portable charger from $38.99 to $12.99, marking a significant savings for shoppers. The promotion includes free standard shipping for Prime members, though non-Prime buyers pay a $6 fee, and the retailer does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, P.O. boxes, or APO addresses.

Why This Matters

With 20,000mAh of capacity, this power bank can recharge a typical smartphone multiple times, making it ideal for camping trips, long weekends, or any scenario where power outlets are scarce. The device features two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, allowing users to charge up to three gadgets simultaneously, though sharing the load across ports reduces the total output.

Key Takeaways

  • 20,000mAh capacity supports multiple smartphone charges on a single cycle
  • Two USB-C ports deliver up to 20W each, while the USB-A port reaches 12W
  • Charging multiple devices shares a 15W total output, extending charge time
  • The package includes a 1-foot USB-C to USB-C cable for recharging the bank
  • Compact dimensions of 4.48 x 2.83 x 1.16 inches make it easy to slip into a bag
  • At 0.77 pounds, it’s portable but may feel bulky in a jacket pocket
  • Best suited for occasional travel, commuting, and emergency charging rather than laptop power

Conclusion

For anyone seeking an affordable way to stay charged on the go, the Amazon Basics 20,000mAh power bank at $12.99 offers solid value. It’s well-suited for daily use, weekend adventures, and emergency situations, though those needing to power a laptop should consider a higher-wattage model.
