Introduction

Anker's Nebula P1i portable projector is now available at a $100 discount, dropping to $299 on Amazon. The model combines built-in Google TV with automatic setup, aiming to simplify home entertainment without extra hardware.

What Happened

The price reduction brings the Nebula P1i down from its usual $399 asking price, making it one of the more compelling portable projector deals currently available. Anker's Smart Instant Setup handles focus, keystone correction, and screen alignment automatically, so users can get a calibrated image in minutes rather than minutes of manual tweaking.

Why This Matters

For anyone seeking a flexible viewing solution without the bulk of a traditional TV, the Nebula P1i offers a compelling balance of portability and performance. Weighing under five pounds, it's designed to move between rooms or head outdoors, though it performs best in dimmer environments.

Key Takeaways

  • Built-in Google TV provides direct access to Netflix, YouTube, and major streaming apps without a separate streaming stick.
  • Smart Instant Setup automates focus, keystone correction, and screen alignment for a hassle-free experience.
  • The projector weighs under five pounds, making it easy to relocate or take on the go.
  • It projects a 1080p image from 4K sources, with natural colors but softer edges when angled.
  • Best picture quality is achieved in dark rooms or at night; daylight significantly reduces detail.
  • Fold-out speakers deliver clear dialogue for small gatherings, but lack depth for immersive movie sound.
  • No built-in battery requires the projector to stay plugged in, limiting true portability.

Conclusion

At $299, the Anker Nebula P1i presents a solid option for casual viewers and streaming enthusiasts who value convenience and portability over high-end brightness or built-in battery life. If your setup leans toward dark-room movie nights or occasional outdoor use, this deal may be worth considering.
