Introduction

Nintendo has launched a major price reduction event following a $300 million government tariff refund, branding it as a Customer Appreciation Sale. The promotion runs through September 26 and is available across the Nintendo eShop, the official Nintendo Store, and at major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart.

What Happened

The sale discounts a wide range of products by up to 30 percent, covering digital and physical games, accessories, downloadable content, and apparel. While Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and software availability is limited, there are still notable deals on peripherals and first-party titles. Shoppers can browse the promotion across multiple platforms, with discounts applied automatically at checkout.

Why This Matters

This event represents one of the most significant discount opportunities of the year for Nintendo fans, particularly those looking to expand their libraries or pick up add-on hardware at a lower price point. First-party Nintendo titles historically hold their value well, making the markdowns especially meaningful. The sale also provides a rare chance to grab accessories and merchandise that typically see fewer price reductions.

Key Takeaways

  • Up to 30% off across digital and physical games, accessories, and apparel
  • Best savings on first-party Nintendo games such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild bundle, Super Mario Wonder, and Metroid Dread
  • Hardware deals include the Pro Wireless Controller at $55.99, a Joy-Con charging stand for $24.49, and a FUNLAB carrying case compatible with Switch 2
  • Accessories like amiibo figures and themed apparel are also marked down
  • The promotion ends September 26; early shoppers can secure the deepest cuts on popular titles before stock runs dry

Conclusion

With discounts this deep and a firm end date, the Nintendo Customer Appreciation Sale is a prime opportunity for both new and veteran players to grow their collections without overspending. Mark your calendar for September 26 and act quickly on first-party deals that tend to sell out fast. Whether you're after a specific game or looking to outfit your setup with discounted accessories, this sale offers value across the entire Nintendo ecosystem.
